Driver Loses Control Narrowly Avoids Head On Collision

Around 11.30pm Friday evening a car initially parked outside BP Highway service station on Tay Street, allegedly pulled out, tried drifting around the Ythan & Tay Streets intersection, lost control, went up over the green centre plots, through the cabbage trees to face head on avoiding serious collusion with on coming motorist Megan Anne.

Megan was traveling towards town on Tay Street when the incident happened.
Megan says “I pulled up on the green centre plot thinking the driver would stop, they didn’t speeding off down the road towards Burger King”

Please note, the driver of the vehicle has apologised.

Police would like to hear from anyone who might have information about this incident or those involved.
