Day 3 of the Elite and U19 track nationals had it all starting with the U19 men’s IP with a massive world’s best from Finn Fisher-Black, our 4 boys finished close to their best times. U19 women’s sprints had Tyla and Jenny work through the competition until they faced each other in the gold and silver final. The girls then had the experience of drug free sport where Emma Cumming and Rachelle Spencer helped out.

Natasha had the Elite Keirin but unfortunately crashed out bringing her competition to an end but she sent us a great note saying it looks like she escaped major injury and enjoyed the time with the team. We wish you a speedy recovery Tarsh you’ve been on fire!

The Elite Men’s Keirin had Eddie and Bradly into the final. The final was won by Eddie in a very clinical display. Emily and Natalie battled through a very competitive U19 women’s Omnium.
Corbin, Nick, Sam and Tom had the Elite Men’s Omnium which was a great competition. Corbin got a Bronze in the Omnium and completed a set of medals with a Silver in the Men’s Elite Scratch race.

Kirstie raced like magic and got gold in Elite women’s scratch and points races.

Jake, Conor, La’chlan and Navarh all qualified in the U19 Men’s points race with Conor crashing out in his race. Unluckly bud! Navarh finished 4th in the Final, La’chlan 5th and Jake competed superbly.
Tomorrow is all about the teams which we have great representation in, tune in for a couple of Sid’s special teams.

Well done everyone on another fantastic day of racing – rest up and thank you again Team Manager #Nathan Shearing for the report – Southland rocks!
