Southland Police have named the woman killed in a car crash in Invercargill on Monday as 57-year-old Cheryl Anne Hussy.
Hussy died after her charcoal-coloured Nissan car crashed into the Invercargill Farmers store near the intersection of Dee and Yarrow streets about 7.10am.
Detective Matt Wyatt, of Invercargill, said police did not know the cause of the crash and had passed the investigation on to the coroner.
“All we know is no other vehicle was involved,” Wyatt said.
Police appealed for anyone who witnessed or saw the car involved, but no-one had come forward, Wyatt said.
In a statement, Wyatt says the car was travelling west across Dee St before it crashed into the wall at Farmers.
