Emergency services have been called to reports of a crash on Lorne-Dacre Rd, near Lorneville, Invercargill.
A police media spokeswoman said ambulance notified police of a crash about 11am.

Two people received moderate injuries in the crash, and were taken to hospital as a precaution, but were “conscious and talking” at the scene, she said.

No other people were involved in the crash.

The road was temporarily blocked while contractors were brought in to remove the two cars, and other motorists could expect some delays, the spokeswoman said.

No diversions were in place.

The fire service and two ambulances also attended the crash.
