Edendale crash – UPDATE”
A crane has been brought in to clear a milk tanker which was involved in a collision with another truck on Ferry Road, Edendale.
Road diversions are still in place and motorists are advised to avoid travel to the area or to take alternative routes.
Both drivers have moderate injuries.
One driver is in Southland Hospital, Invercargill.
The other is in Dunedin Hospital.
The driver of the milk tanker had to be cut out of his cab.
It could take at least another two hours to clear the road.
Roading crews will be brought in to remove oil spills.
The cause of the crash will be the subject of an investigation.
Police are currently attending the scene of a crash on Ferry Road, Edendale.
