It’s Thursday and the Covid Lockdown shackles are off, well not fully off but have certainly been relaxed.

Many Southerners have taken advantage of the many click and collect offerings that became available at level 3.

But from today it’s shopping nearly as we knew it before Covid-19 darkened our doorway.

Here’s a novelty, we’ll see Air New Zealand planes back in the skies, well, one flight per day at this early stage, but it’s a start.

While the stores big and small re open their doors from today, hygiene, sanitizers, perspex screens and social distancing will be the priorities for both retail staff and customers alike.

Arguably the first stop for many will be a decent tidy up at the hairdressers. We’ve heard that near all hairdressers and beauticians have been flat out over the last couple of days getting pre Covid bookings confirmed and appointments locked in.

A word to the wise, don’t be late for your hair appointment, the hairstylists haven’t got a spare minute to be kept waiting.

All the best for level 2 !
