Sad news from the world of kiwi music this weekend with the passing of country music legend Eddie Low after a long illness
Coming from the Rotorua region, Eddie Low started early in the music business forming his first band, Three Blind Mice at age 13, and he just carried on from there.
On the Audioculture facebook post, his daughter Maria said earlier today:"He never thought of his blindness as a disability - it was just something he happened to have. His only fear was that people would think he couldn't do something because of his sight, but if anything, it made him even more stubborn, more determined, to prove he could do anything others could do, and more."
Legendary Kiwi promoter Joe Brown proclaimed that Low had a "voice in a million". Who could argue with that.

Over many decades Eddie Low has performed up and down the country any number of times, performed with a succession of New Zealand's top entertainers on stage and on some of those great TV entertainment shows over the years (whatever happened to them?) as well as having a huge following overseas.
