What’s hoped to be the first of many containers of Southland made pastry products has just started its journey to China.
The container left Invers based Quality Foods Southland Ltd earlier today bound for Shanghai.

Locked and loaded, China bound, the container with Southland made butter pastry product from QFS Ltd.
QFS CEO Cameron Scott says its taken plenty of hard work just to get this far with exporting to China.
Cameron Scott says they have secured one distributor in China and discussions are on going in securing another distributor.
He says there are many opportunities there.
The QFS product will be sold to 5 star hotels in Shanghai and Beijing.
Cameron Scott says they now have a Japan manager who is working to grow the business there.
He says Asia continues to be the main focus for the company although they still export to Hong Kong, the Middle East and Australia.
