The figures tell the story. Building work is cracking along in Invers

Stats from the City Council show that a significant amount of building work is in the pipeline for the coming months.

The building consent stats for September show that 131 consent applications valued at just a squeeze over $14 million were given the big tick . Consent applications across most categories are strong but we think it’s heartening to see that applications for New Commercial or Industrial Buildings / Additions, interior alterations and New Dwellings are particularly strong.

One of the consents is for a new building on Bill Richardson Drive. This is another sign that development of this part of Invers is gaining traction.

The total of consents for new dwellings comes in at just over 2 million 9 million dollars.

The stats for September last year told a different story with 179 consents issued but valued at just short of 5 and a half million dollars.
