The Burt Munro Challenge (BMC) Organising Committee last night voted unanimously to move the event to February in the pursuit of better weather.
Climatic conditions in late November have consistently been disappointing and so the decision has been made to move the event to the second weekend in February each year.

The BMC has grown in stature now to being a truly international event and the committee want to improve the chances of providing a better experience for all those involved.
The Committee appreciates the fantastic support received from competitors, rally attendees, spectators, sponsors, officials and volunteers over the last eleven years.
Discussions have been held with major sponsors and suppliers to ensure all parties were comfortable with the proposed change and we look forward to continuing to work together to deliver an exciting and action packed event for Southlanders and visitors in the future.
The next Burt Munro Challenge will be held in February 2018
