The Bluff Garden Show returns this year for the first time since 2021 with a spectacular event planned over the weekend of 10/11 February.
The show will take place at the Senior Citizens Rooms on the corner of Onslow and Barrow Street’s in Bluff and will be open on Saturday 10 February from 10am until 3pm and on Sunday 11 February from 10am until 1.30pm. A prizegiving will then take place at 2.00pm on Sunday afternoon.
The show will feature seven separate classes – Cut Flowers, Roses, Baking, Vegetables & Garden Produce, Large Giant Vegetables, Container Plants plus Handcrafts. Within each of those classes there are several different categories.
In addition to admiring the work of the various exhibitors there will be morning and afternoon teas on sale along with raffles and the chance to purchase maps to visit local gardens.
Admission is $4.00 for adults or alternatively $8.00 if you wish to enjoy a morning or afternoon tea. Children over 12 years of age are just $1.00 and under 12’s are free while the garden maps cost just $2.00.
Bring along some cash for your purchases as EFTPOS is not available at the event.
Entry schedules will be available in local outlets around Bluff or intending exhibitors can get one by contacting one of the following – Barbara (03 212 8427) or Elaine (03 212 8798). All entries must be made or grown by the exhibitor and entries will be taken at the venue on the corner of Onslow and Barrow Street’s in Bluff on Friday 9 February between 2pm and 7pm. No late entries can be accepted and adult exhibitors pay 50c per exhibit.
Whilst viewing the many exhibits, visitors to the show can have their say by voting for the People’s Choice Awards.
