Blair Vining Black Tie Evening in Winton on Saturday  attended by 500 guests has raised almost $100,000 from about auctions held during the night.

The black tie event followed the Bucket list rugby game on Saturday afternoon with an estimated 3,500 crowd watching the game at Midlands Rugby Club grounds in Winton.

The auction money will go to the Blair Vining Foundation setup to help junior sports people in Central Southland.

To finish off an incredible day Midlands Rugby Club made Vining a life member.

Blair Vining is being treated for bowel, lung and liver cancer, the bucket list rugby game was a dream come true for Blair.
