Clive Wilson Ltd pioneered powder coating in the South back in the late 1970s, and now the company has commissioned a new oven to replace the original.
With a bigger, more efficient 6m x 2m oven means they can take on even more complex and larger projects for its many clients around the district. Proudly Southland designed and built, Clive Wilson Ltd engineered the oven with help from some talented local engineers.
Currently supporting local boat manufacturers, powder coating is also widely used in construction and roofing, and automobile industries, as well as for brackets and fireguards, iron-gates, signage, and on products that face heavy wearing in the outdoors.
Seen as more efficient that standard wet spraying, powder coating offers an extra level of protection to products, ensuring they are long lasting in any weather.
Clive Wilson founded the company in 1971, and progressed on to become a multi-faceted supplier of industrial and commercial switchboards, Scada & Safety systems, industrial and commercial engraving
Clive Wilson Ltd operates with approximately 22 fulltime staff made up of registered electricians, apprentices, estimators, automation engineers, CAD operators and office management staff.
The large 5000sq ft modern workshop is located centrally, and our new larger dedicated power coating department has allowed the company to take on bigger projects.
Our team is made of highly skilled individuals who can provide a range of services – everything from metal preparation to completed, powder coated products.
“Clive Wilson powder coating is looking forward to working with Southland business.”
Or as Clive once said, “Miracles we can do, the impossible takes a little longer.”
