Southland-based law firm AWS Legal is pleased to announce the promotion of three Senior Associates to Partnership. Tim Marshall from the Invercargill office, Jenny Denley and Eugene Roud from Alexandra, have been recognised for their exceptional work, loyalty, and alignment with the firm’s values.
Tim Marshall, who has been with AWS Legal for over a decade, commented, “I’m honored to be made a partner at AWS Legal. It’s exciting to move into a position where you’re making the decisions.”
Tim specialises in all matters of Property, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and Estate Planning. He also has a strong rural background, born and raised on a farm in Western Southland and has practiced in the Rural Law area for many years.
“With my background, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges that rural clients face. I’m proud to be able to use my breadth of expertise to help them achieve their goals.”
Chair of Partners, Aaron Drake says Tim is dedicated to his clients. “Combined with his extensive legal expertise and strong rural background, this makes him an invaluable addition to our partnership team. We’re thrilled to have him on board as a partner and look forward to his continued success at AWS Legal.”
Eugene Roud, also excited about the promotion, shared his thoughts, “It comes with more responsibility, but there’s the freedom to direct your own work.”
Having moved to Central Otago on a romantic whim, it’s clear Eugene is now a fixture in the community. Eugene promotes himself as accessible, approachable, and accurate. He enjoys working with ‘the changing of the guard,’ – clients who are upcoming entrepreneurs or succeeding businesses or farms.
“I’m proud to have the recognition of the other partners, and to have what it takes to join the ranks and contribute to the growth of the Central Otago Practice.” Roud says.
Jenny Denley looks forward to serving her community in a more visible way, “I’m honoured to be able to have a voice for my team, and advocate for my community, team, and staff. I feel the firm has strong values, and I’m delighted to be a part of it.”
“Jenny is a trusted advisor, delivering high-quality service to clients,” says Drake. “With her promotion, I know the skillset of the partners in our Alexandra office will serve the Central Otago community well into the future.”
AWS Legal congratulates Jenny, Eugene, and Tim on their well-deserved promotions and looks forward to the contributions they will make as partners. Drake said, “The promotions are a testament to their hard work and dedication, and they will be valuable additions to the partnership team. We are excited to see the positive impact they will have on our clients and the firm as a whole.”
