Update #2: Apologies for the confusion NZTA need to lift their game), The incoming lane to Invercargill is closed while testing of the road is done speaking to the road workers this will be done by 5pm.

Update: NZTA have advised that this work has been postponed to a date to be confirmed.

this morning 9 am – 4 pm, the Ascot Roundabout into Invercargill will be under stop/go. The detour is Mill Road South onto Oteramiki Rd to Rockdale Road. From there you can travel north & back onto SH 1.^SM

The NZTA FaceBook page has a post this morning advising of the the detour with the incorrect day (they have Tuesday 1st May, instead of Wednesday) and no explanation for the full day of stop/go at the Ascot round about.
