Ascot Park Hotel Brass At The National Champs In Hamilton

Southland is well represented at the National Brass Band Champs in Hamilton.

The Ascot Park Hotel band is competing in the A Grade section of the contest.

The event had something of a set back today as rain forced the cancellation of the street march section, always a highlight in these contests.

However event organizer’s quickly came up with a plan B and got several bands to show off their marching skills at then vast Claudelands Arena.

The championships continue tomorrow.
