Police Update: 6:50pm
About 3:30pm today Police received reports of a loud disorder on Bain Street, Kingswell, in Invercargill.
Members of the public also reported hearing possible gunshots.
Police attended the scene and have arrested one person in relation to what appears to have been a family harm incident.
No one was injured.
Cordons have been stood down and there is not believed to be any further risk to the public.
We have been receiving messages about shots being fired and an AOS callout on Bain Street.
After contacting the Police media centre about the matter a spokeswoman confirmed Police are attending an incident at an address in the Kingswell area – AOS have been deployed as a precaution and Police are speaking with two people at the address.
A member of the public confirmed the AOS are at the scene.
