ANZAC Day is today, Lest We Forget. A day for us all to take a step back and think for a moment all that have served in battlefields near and far over many, many decades.

Many of those who have served did not return, did not return to live full, productive and prosperous lives, but they all played an important role in stopping enemy forces in their tracks so we can live the lives that we do today.

Of course most of the enemy forces came from countries which we now regard as friends and trading partners.

So today before you hit the shops,  please take a moment or two to think about those that have served. Go to the Cenotaph or a war memorial in your town, go to a dawn parade. That’s when it all kicked off with the ill-fated dawn landings by New Zealand and Aussie troops on the beaches of Gallipoli April 25th 1915.

If you are going, the forecast is for very strong winds so dress accordingly.
