St John recognised several members at their annual awards presentation recently.
The awards honoured members with between five and sixty years of service to the organisation.

Three members — Annitta Michelle, Robyn Clarke, and Sandy McGillivary — were presented with the Queen Victoria Award for ten years of service.
The Queen Victoria Award is the only awards still presented under her name. Other award titles change when the monarchy changes.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the 60 years’ service award to local St John Commander Phillip Fraser.
That award was presented by Ian Rae, Knight of the Order of St John, with the gold bar presented by Shirley Hennessey, Dame of the Order of St John, both from Dunedin.
