Milton and Queenstown Lotto winners were part of 38 other Lotto players who had their lucky numbers come up last night, each winning $25,000 with Lotto First Division.

This is the largest number of players to win Lotto First Division in a single draw since the game began in 1987.

Powerball is on a roll with two lucky players from Hastings and Christchurch each winning $2.5 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The total prize of $2,525,000 is made up of $2.5 million from Powerball First Division and $25,000 from Lotto First Division.

The winning tickets were sold at Countdown Hastings in Hastings and New Brighton Lotto & Discounter in Christchurch.

This is second time in just one week that Powerball has been struck, with a player from Silverdale winning $7.2 million with Powerball last Wednesday.

With the prize yet to be claimed a week on from the win, Lotto NZ is urging players to check their tickets. The unclaimed $7.2 million Powerball winning ticket was purchased at Pak N Save Silverdale for the draw on Wednesday 12 September.
