Six more prominent Southland musicians will be honoured with induction in the Southland Musicians Club Southland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a special show in October.
This year’s inductees are:
- Francis Kerrison
- Pat Houlihan
- Ross Turner
- Terry Bradshaw
- Jeff Ross
- Nick Tansley
Francis Kerrison will be joined on stage by his high-profile musical son Jason Kerrison.
Southland Musicians Club president Trevor Daley says:
“We’re chuffed to have one of New Zealand’s top entertainers joining us for this special night. Southlanders will be privileged to see him and his dad playing in a band together. It doesn’t happen very often.”
Bands performing on the night will be:
- the Jeff Ross Rock Ensemble
- the Frank Kerrison Showband (ex Christchurch)
- Post No Bills
- Contraband
That 80’s Band kicking off the 2016 Southland Rock n Roll Hall of Fame show.
As well as being inducted and playing keyboards for Post No Bills, popular MC Nick
Tansley will again be the host for the 15 th edition of the show, which was first held in
2003.
Tickets for the show are $45, and are available at Little Fire Musicworks and the
Invercargill Workingmen’s Club.
