Police Update 26/9/2016 “Southland motorcycle crash update and name release”
Police can now confirm the victim of a motorcycle accident in Winton, Southland, earlier this month, has died.
Jessica Rose Robson, an 11-year-old from Southland, died on Saturday 24th September in Starship Hospital, following a crash on September 10th.
Police extend their thoughts to the family at this difficult time.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing and there are no further details available.

An 11-year-old girl is in a critical condition after a crash at Thompsons Crossing, north of Invercargill, this afternoon.

The girl was riding a 50cc motorcycle out of a paddock when she collided with a car on Thompsons Crossing Road West, shortly before 2.30pm on Saturday 10 September, 2016.
She was taken to Invercargill Hospital with serious head and leg injuries.
The rural road was closed for a short time while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene, but has since been reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
