Mal’s Music Memory – NZ Music Month Concludes

Hi all and welcome into this the last of Mal’s Music Memory’s for May as we wrap NZ Music Month with Little Fire MusicWorks on Dee Street, probably the world’s southernmost music store.

Three bangers to wind up the month. First up Tex Pistol’s cover of an old 60’s song, The Game of Love. One of the best cover versions you’ll ever hear.

Second it’s Annie Crummer’s big hit from the early 90’s, See What Love Can Do.

To wind it up we had to get a local connection with Invers lad Dave Kennedy with Christchurch band The Chapta’s Say A Prayer. This song won Chapta the Loxene Gold Disc award in 1971. A big deal in the day let me tell you.

I gather that Dave is still doing the business in the Queenstown region.
