The Southland Charity Hospital Trust has received a generous $100,000 donation from an unnamed donor, and the timing couldn’t be better.
The trust was set up by Blair and Melissa Vining before Blair lost his battle with cancer. The goal was to make sure that Southlanders could access medical care when they weren’t able to through the public system.
Concept drawings would be provided by Bonisch Consultants for the yet-to-be-built hospital, while several tradespeople would also offer their services. The Invercargill Licensing Trust donated the Clifton Inn building and land for the hospital project.
Since the trust was established, donations have been pouring in from across the Southland community.
