BROWN, Irene Phyllis (Phyllis):
In her 96th year, Phyllis passed peacefully on 30 June. Devoted wife of the late Eric. A special thanks to the staff at Vickery Court and Bupa for caring for our Mum. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Marjorie and Ian Bowen, Allan and Marilyn, Valerie and Geoff Horrell, Lynda and Lindsay McNamara, Judy and Tony Fleck and Glynis and Bruce Thomson. Loved Grandma to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peacefully at rest awaiting the resurrection.
A service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Wednesday, 3rd July at 1.30 pm. The service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery. Messages to 118 Carnarvon Street, Glengarry, Invercargill 9810.

FOSTER, William Russell (Bill):
Peacefully at Vickery Court after a short illness on Friday 28th June 2024 aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband and friend of Isla. Much loved father, father-in-law and friend of Jeanette and Murray, Lindsay and Glenys, Russell and Pauline, Joanne and Jimmy. A dearly loved grandfather and great-grandfather of 10 grandsons and one granddaughter and 19 great-grandchildren. A loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle to his extended family and a loved friend to many. A farewell service for Bill will be held at The Hideaway 201, 201 Lochiel Branxholme Road at 12.30pm on Wednesday 3rd July followed by an interment at the Wallacetown Cemetery. POTTER, Douglas John (Doug):
Doug passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side; aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of Shirley for 62 years, much loved father and father-in-law of John, Garry and Liz, Fiona and Andrew MacGregor, cherished grandad, great grandad and great- great grandad of all his grandchildren. TE AU, Kathleen Anne (née Hickey):
Passed away on Friday 28 June 2024 in the care of Hospice Southland, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Desmond and much loved mother and mother-in-law of Tony and Virginia (Auckland), Mark (Dunedin), Angela (Invercargill) and Suzanne (Dunedin). Devoted Nan of Jason, Daniel, Georgia and Taylor, Samantha and Melanie, and James and Richard, special Great-Nan of Evie, Ella, Florence, Zoe and Theo. Loved daughter of the late Ted and Molly. Loved sister of her many siblings. Much loved aunty of her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Kathleen will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets on Thursday 4 July 2024 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland can be left at the service.
