BLACKMUN, James Alan (Alan):
Died peacefully at Southland Hospital on Monday 24th June 2024; aged 83 years. Dearly loved father of Sandra Macnamara (Te Anau), Tara Blackmun (Invercargill) , and Jaymie Blackmun (Sweden) and much loved grandfather of Reagan, Harry, Blake; Luke, Caleb, Joshua; Zavia, Zack and great grandfather of Alexia, and Bjorn. BROWN, Russell:
After a brief illness and a difficult few weeks, Russell passed away peacefully in the care of Ripponburn Hospital on Saturday evening June 22, 2024, – age 83. Father to Liz and Geoff and their respective families all of Wellington. We would like to thank the staff at both Dunstan and Dunedin Hospitals for their recent care of Dad. We also extend our appreciation to all the staff at Ripponburn Hospital for their care and comfort with Dad over the 9 days he was in their care. Our extended appreciation is to Mike and Lynette Hedges, he was an extended member of your family and we thank you all for your love and support to Dad over the years in Cromwell. FOSTER, William Russell (Bill):
Peacefully at Vickery Court after a short illness on Friday 28th June 2024 aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband and friend of Isla. Much loved father, father-in-law and friend of Jeanette and Murray, Lindsay and Glenys, Russell and Pauline, Joanne and Jimmy. A dearly loved grandfather and great-grandfather of 10 grandsons and one granddaughter and 19 great-grandchildren. A loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle to his extended family and a loved friend to many. Peggy passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson, on Tuesday 25 June in her 91st year. Loved wife of the late John. Mother of Robyn and Lew, Doug, and Stew. Grandmother of Keith, Louise and Megan Bond. Anna, Alec and Sarah McLeish.

A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Monday 1 July at 2.00pm. It is with a heavy heart, we would like to let all concerned know that yesterday, 26th June 2024, we lost our humorous loving cool Dodgy Dave, our family would like to thank all his friends near and far for supporting Dodgy through his very tough journey over the last few years, Dodgy is now in the loving arms of his mother and grandmother.
