Today there are no new cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand.
The total number of cases in Southern as of 20 May 2020 is 216 (confirmed and probable).
One case remains active, 213 individuals have now recovered and two are deceased.
The most recent case in the Southern district was reported on 18 April. Since then there have been no new cases in the district.
That means New Zealand’s total number of confirmed cases remains at 1,153.
Our combined total of confirmed and probable cases remains at 1,503.
We have 1,447 people who have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of five on yesterday. That is 96% of all confirmed and probable cases.
There are no additional deaths to report.
There is one person with COVID-19 receiving hospital-level care – they are in Middlemore hospital and they are not in the ICU.
Yesterday our laboratories completed 4,882 tests. The total number of tests completed to date is 238,725.
