Social Development Associate Minister Peeni Henare was in town on Friday visiting the team at Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu to learn about the way the agency delivers its Whanau Ora Services.
The minister spoke about a number of flaws in the community agency funding models, where they have to tender for contracts of government services every year which causes a lot of job uncertainty. He also thanked the team for the great work Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu does for Southland whanau

It was a pleasure to meet Tracey and some of the What’s On Invers fans at Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu. Thanks for having me. Mike
