On Sunday, May 25, 2025, in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Louise and the late Jocelyn. Loved Father and father-in-law of Antony and Sharon, Nicola and Jamie Duffy and Prue and Flash Gordon. Special Grandad Geoff to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration to commemorate Geoff’s life will be held at Queenstown Country Club House, 420 Frankton-Ladies Mile Highway, on Saturday, 31 May at 1.30 pm. As per Geoff’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland can be left at the celebration. Passed away peacefully on Friday May 23, 2025, with Lavenia by his side. Dearly loved husband of Lavenia loved Dad of Shane and Jill, Kerry, David and Brenda, loving Grandad of Danielle, Kate, Rhys, Charlie, Angus, Maisie and great Grandad of Carter, Zara, and Phoebe. Loved son of the late Jack and Lizzie, brother of Lyall, Ken, and Libby, loved by all his nieces and nephews and the extended family. A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at the Gore RSA Function Lounge, Bowler Ave, at 2pm, followed by a private cremation. THOMAS, David (Dave):
The train horn blasted one last time, and the guard called “ALL ABOARD” for Dave’s final departure from the station on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Ascot Bupa. Dave Thomas, aged 73, Passed away after a courageous and long battle with Cancer. Loved son of Kathy & Red Thomas. Brother of Cindy Kennedy, Margie Stenton, Mike, Mark, Judy*, Lindsay and Russell*. Known and loved for his years on the NZ Railways and at Ace Couriers (Dave the courier). THOMAS David, (Uncle David):
As we say goodbye to our loved Uncle David, we remember him for his love, generosity and lessons he left behind. He was the “Fun Uncle”, the spoons champion, the singer, the man who never forgot to bring the Eskimo lollies! You’ll be missed deeply and remembered always with Love from Emma, Chloe, Aiden, Elliot and Jade.

It is with sadness that Eb passed away at Hospice on Friday 23rd May 2025 with Jitske by his side. Dearly loved husband of Jitske, and Papa of Ancylla, Gabriella and Mike, Daniel and Jane and Opa of Talia, Asher; Aston, and Zachary. A celebration of Eb's life will be held on Friday 30th May at 1.30pm in J Fraser & Son's Chapel, Cnr Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill.
