Peacefully, on Sunday at Rowena Jackson in the company of her family. In her 101st year. Loved wife of the late Ted. Mother, Mother-in-law of Denise and David Chin Poy. RURI, Elizabeth:
5.4.1985 – 20.01.2024
Loved and loving mother of Luacia-Rose, Tara, Felicity, and Ellie-May. Loved partner of Riki Karetai. Dearly loved daughter of Cathrina and Ron Lynch (and Taia Ruri), sister of Stuart, Simon and Rosa, twin Peter and Clare, adored Aunty and friend. Loved by her many friends. Elizabeth will lie at O Te Ika Rama Marae, McNab, from 10.00am on Wednesday. Funeral service on Thursday, January 25, at 1.00pm. Private cremation to follow.

SMITH, Ron:
Thursday, January 11, 1934 – Thursday, January 11, 2024; aged 90 years. Ron was being sung Happy Birthday, where he was joining in singing along, he then passed away peacefully. Ron was a proud Watersider, first in the late 1950’s in Bluff, Southland and then from the early 1960’s in Lyttelton, until his retirement in 1986. He was always unionised and strongly believed in unions. A good husband & father. He enjoyed so many things, especially fishing and diving. Ron’s son, Warren, is deeply grateful to all those who supported and cared for his father, especially his private doctor, Dr Howard. Ron’s wish was to be buried with his beloved wife, Fay, and his private burial has been carried out accordingly. Warren thanks his friends and family for their kindness and condolences. WYATT, Nancy:
On January 18, 2024, at Yvette Williams Retirement Village; aged 101 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ted Wyatt, loved mother and mother-in-law of Pat and Mac Chaplin (Waikouaiti), Glenda and Neil Pritchard (Gore), Susan Shaw (dec) (Brisbane), loved Nana of Sam, Joanna, Grant, Jan, Kara, and Sophie, and loved Great-Nana to Thomas, Henry, Lily, Max, George, Nina (dec), Mason, Charlie, Louie, and Joseph. Very special thanks to the staff at Yvette Williams for their care of Nancy. A private family service has been held.
