Peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024 at her home, with Noel at Cargill Rest Home. In the loving care of all who live there and all who care for them. Dearly loved and cherished wife and companion of Noel for 17 years and the late Murray Heenan. Precious mother of Jan and *Joe Riwhi, Paul, *Julie and *Noel Heenan. Cherished Nana Bid to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren Tim and Jodi, Ngarea, Jayden and Aroha, Kowhai, Neihana and Tamai; Pita and Erin, Camron, Kelly and Jamie; Sam and Mel, Grace, Connor and Malakhai, Joseph and Isaac; Josh and Tracy, Zariah and Lukas; Becca and Steve, Dante, Archer and Lily; Chris and Anna, Hudson, Dannika and Aurora; Matt, Katie and Jack. The end of an era, at 92 years. Noeline was the last remaining child of Isobel and John Rule and was so proud she outlived her five siblings. Loved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Admired and respected stepmother of Ian and Faye, Kaye, Jill and Edu, Sue and all their children and grandchildren. Loved friend of the wider Brinsdon family. Noeline is laying with us at her daughter’s home. Family and friends are welcome to call and spend time with her. Many thanks to the amazing team of health professionals at Cargill, and the hospitals in Invercargill and Dunedin. A service to celebrate Noeline’s life will be held in the Winton Presbyterian Church, Meldrum Street on Saturday, June 22 at 10.30am. Interment at the East Winton Cemetery to follow. It’s with broken hearts we announce the passing of Peter, “Bert”, Uncle. He passed away at home in Dipton with “Queen” by his side. Loved son of the late John and Brenda. Brother and brother in law to Richard and Ngaire, Phillipa and Wilson. Adored and respected “Uncle” to Kerri, Chris and Andrea, Jane and Mark, Liz, Hamish and Mel, Marque and their families. Special friend to Steady, Sue and Keifer. A friend of many and proud owner of his four legged family. Respected nephew and cousin. “We will always remember him as a very kind and good man, he has been a father figure to many and friend to all.” A memorial celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Thursday the 20th of June 2024 at 2.00pm, at the Dipton Memorial Hall. COCHRANE, Clive:
On June 16, 2024, after a courageous battle; aged 78 years. Treasured husband of Kathleen loved and admired Dad of Michael, Dean, Trina, and their partners Maree, Tracey, and Dean. Adored Grandad of Sacha, Meisha, Amy, Abbey, Clayton, Erin, Blake, and Scott. A celebration of Clive’s life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 2.00pm in the South Otago Town and Country Club, Yarmouth Street, Balclutha. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society Otago would be appreciated and may be left at Clive’s service. Special thanks to Dr Abraham Visagie, Mark Grant, Anna-Kate, Bree, and Chris Jackson and the oncology team.

DOWLING, Rita Mary:
Peacefully with her loving family by her side at Calvary Rest Home, Invercargill on Monday, 17th June 2024, in her 96th year. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Margaret and Ken Cochran (Alexandra), Trish and Roger Shaw (Wallacetown), Kathleen Rillstone (Perth), and Michael Dowling. A cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother of all her Grandchildren. A loved sister, sister-in-law, cousin and aunt of all her extended family. R.I.P.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Rita’s life will be held in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rimu Street, Invercargill on Saturday, 22 nd June at 10:30am. The service will conclude with the burial at the Eastern Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12th 2024, at Kew Hospital aged 92. With his loving wife Noeline holding his hand. Loved father and father-in-law of Julien and the late Jock, Libby, David and Leanne, Paul and Kim, Yuanita. Jim will be missed by all of his family, grandchildren and his great grandchildren Eliza and Theo. A loved uncle and great uncle. 14.12.1977 – 14.06.2024
46 years young, tragically taken to soon. Dearly loved only son of Denise and the late Steve.  Dearest adored brother to Lisa and Paul and cherished uncle of Carter, and Brodie. Grandson of the late Agnes and Syl Hoffman, Ethel and the late Keith Bacon, adored and loving partner of Jess. Treasured nephew to his aunties, uncles and special cousin to many. A great mate to all his many friends. Our heartfelt thanks to Search and Rescue along with the Police for bringing Bryce home to us. You do an amazing job. Donations gratefully received for Otago/Southland Mental Health. ‘If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again’ We will be honouring Bryce on Monday 24th June 1.30pm at the Gore Town and Country Club, 2 Bury Street, Gore, then resting him alongside his dad at the Charlton Park Cemetery.
