De WIT, Doris:
Born May 23, 1934 - passed June 4, 2025. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Doris, who left us peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Loved wife of the late John, loved mother and mother-in-law of Neil and Leah, Alistair and Diane, Barry and Liz, and Chris and Karen. Loved sister of Hazel, Judith, and Tom. Loved nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Margaret Wilson Rest Home for their care and compassion of Doris. A celebration of Doris' life will be held at Betts Funeral Services on Wednesday, June 11, at 2.00pm. The service can be viewed live at betts.co.nz/live-stream. Formerly of Poland. Peacefully at Gore Hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, June 7, 2025, aged 96 years. Loved wife of the late Bill, dearly loved Mum and mother-in-law of Paul (Gore), Peter and Yvonne (Cromwell), Janice Rabbitt (Gore), Therese and Steve Stephenson (Gore), *Micheal and *Jude, Martin and Michelle (Wanaka), Veronica and Harry Swain (Gore), Kevin and Theresa (Dunedin), and dearly loved Nanny of her 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. "R.I.P."
Requiem Mass for Irena will be celebrated in The Church Of The Blessed Sacrament, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Thursday, June 12, at 1.00pm, leaving thereafter for the Charlton Park Cemetery.
