It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Tupuna Moeroa Cuthers at Southland Hospital on the 24 th May 2025, aged 65. Truly loved husband and best friend of Tariaere (Tari) Cuthers. Loved father and father-in-law of Edward and Stacey, and Anthony Cuthers. Loved uncle of Phil, Dave, & James Jnr Ono. Loved and loving Grandad of Kalani, Saskia, Paxtyn, Nikora Cuthers. Loved Grand uncle of Tarani, George*, Kaira, & Nava Ono. Loved son of Teo Kotai (Jumbo) and the late Ake Taau and his second mum, Maria. Loved brother of his many siblings, uncles and friends. A celebration of Punas’ life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, 30 th May at 11:00am. A private cremation will follow. DALZELL, Geoffrey Lancelot:
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Louise and the late Jocelyn. Loved Father and father-in-law of Antony and Sharon, Nicola and Jamie Duffy and Prue and Flash Gordon. Special Grandad Geoff to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration to commemorate Geoff’s life will be held at Queenstown Country Club House, 420 Frankton-Ladies Mile Highway, on Saturday, 31 May at 1.30 pm. As per Geoff’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland can be left at the celebration. OUGHTON, Margaret Fraser:
Passed away peacefully on Thursday 22nd May 2025 at Vickery Court. Loved wife of Stuart. Loved Mum of William* and Michelle, Trevor and Nicci, and Roger and Rebecca. Loved Grandma of Jack, Pete, Trent, Shawni, Cody and Benny. Loved Great Grandma. Dearly loved daughter of William* and Annie* Ronald. Loved sister of Jimmy* and Jeanette*, John and Marilyn, and Joe and Barbara. A memorial service for Margaret will be held on Tuesday 3rd June 2025 at St Pauls Presbyterian Church Dee St Invercargill at 1.30pm.
