Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family while in the care of Rowena Jackson on Friday 25th April 2025, in his 100th year. Dearly loved husband of Phyllis for 73 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Marilyn* and Robin Pagan, Keith and Sue Buchanan. Loved and cherished Pop of Anthony, Nick, Alana, Janelle, Tracey, Bradley*, Matt and to his 10 Great Grandchildren. A private service will be held Tuesday 29 April. Gone too soon, our rock, our hero, our protector passed 23/04/2025, aged 59 years. Loved Husband and Soulmate of Stephanie. Adored father of the late Hannah, Niamh and Cameron, Abigail and Jacob. Loved son of Robert and the late Judith. Brother and brother-in-law of Dean and Tara, Tony and Kirsty. Much loved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews. STANTON, Shirley Ann (née Solomon), formerly Wilmshurst:
88, of Invercargill, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, April 24. Born in Timaru, November 17, 1936, to Joyce & Abiatha "Dreamy" Solomon, Shirley was a stalwart of Southland Netball & a dedicated Special Needs Educator. Loving wife of the late Lex Wilmshurst & James Stanton. Shirley is survived by her children: Peter, Maree, David, Steven & Alan; much loved & cared for: John Finn, Paul, Boyd, Jayne & Imogene; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings: Alan, Lindsay, Sharon, Donna & John, predeceased by Maurice & Terrill. A memorial service will be held at Frasers Funeral Directors, cnr Esk & Doon Sts, Invercargill, Thursday, May 1, at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Gore Charlton Cemetery. Peacefully with her family by her side, at Southland Hospital on Thursday, 24th April 2025. In her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Norman. Loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Raymond, Lester and Leanne, Kerry and Roger Wolf. Loved Nana of Bryce, Kiera, Aidan, Caleb, and Holly. Loved great-nana of Mabel. Loved sister of the late Elsie Neilson and Dawn Lilley. Loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. A friend to many.
