It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Tupuna Moeroa Cuthers at Southland Hospital on May 24, 2025, aged 65. Truly loved husband and best friend of Tariaere (Tari) Cuthers. Loved father and father-in-law of Edward and Stacey, and Anthony Cuthers. Loved uncle of Phil, Dave, and James Jnr Ono. Loved and loving Grandad of Kalani, Saskia, Paxtyn, Nikora Cuthers. Loved Grand-uncle of Tarani, George*, Kaira, and Nava Ono. Loved son of Teo Kotai (Jumbo) and the late Ake Taau and his second mum, Maria. Loved brother of his many siblings, uncles and friends. A celebration of Punas' life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, May 30 at 11.00am. A private cremation will follow. On May 16, 2025, peacefully at Yvette Williams Retirement Village; in his 95th year. Much loved husband of the late Margaret for 68 years, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Kim and Michelle, Shane and Fiona, Philippa and Michael. Special grandad of Ruby; Madison, and Charlotte; Libby, and Morgan. -- A service to celebrate Tup's life will be held in the John McGlashan College Chapel, 2 Pilkington Street, Maori Hill, Dunedin at 11.00am on Saturday, May 24. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago University Rugby Foundation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. MUNDIE, Richard:
On May 18, 2025, unexpectedly, in Te Anau; aged 72 years. Loved husband of Joanna, cherished father and father-in-law of Greer and Oliver, and Fraser and Elizabeth, loved Grandad to Oscar, Hazel, William, and Lachlan. Loved son of the late Bill and Gowan, and brother of the late Alison. A service to celebrate Richard's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 11.00am on Monday, May 26.
