Suddenly and unexpectedly, at home in Gore, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, aged 68 years old. Much loved husband of Terry, loved Dad of Jack and Sam. As per Bernie’s wishes a private family gathering will take place at Central Crematorium Chapel. GIBB, Neil Edward (Gibby):
After a courageous battle, Neil passed away surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday 10 May 2023, aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Jeanette. Much loved father and father in law of Alan, Tracey and Neil. Loved Pop of Shania, Toby and Nikita. Loved son of the late Jack and Fay. Loved brother and brother in law of Brian and Susan, Anne* and Jim, Anne and John, Heather and Neil*, Geoffrey and Diane, Ken and Kerren, Alastair* and Lisa. Loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to Scleroderma New Zealand Inc. would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service. Neil will be resting at 420 McIvor Road Invercargill until his service. A Celebration of Neil’s life will be held on Friday 19th May 2023, 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Interment at Eastern Cemetery will follow. WEST, Harvey:
Aged 92 years. Following a stroke and a hard-fought battle at Southland Hospital, Harvey peacefully slipped away from us holding Bev’s hand on Wednesday, May 11, 2023, at Gore Hospital. Beloved husband for 64 years of Beverley, dearly loved father, father-in-law and mentor of Heather McKenzie and Owen McCartney (Gore) and Alan and Michelle (Perth). Loved grandad and great-grandad “Harry” to Jo, Andrew, Cam, and Ellie (Christchurch) and Brad (Pannawonica). Poppy to Aleisha and Aaron (Perth). Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Margaret and Russell Orr, loved brother-in-law of Lenore and Bill Harvey, Liz and Graham Senior, Jeanette and Peter Mant and loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Harvey’s life will be held in the Balfour Hall on Tuesday, May 16, at 1.30 pm then leaving for the Balfour Cemetery. Harvey’s service can be viewed on
