Doreen passed away suddenly on Friday 13th June 2025 at her daughters home in Riverton, aged 92 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Barry. Adored Mum and mother-in-law of Jayne and Dick Hall, Nigel and Julie and cherished Nanna of her 5 grandchildren and Little Nanna of her 13 great-grandies. It is with much sadness that the family of Larry Brent Howley announces his sudden passing on Thursday morning, 12 June 2025. Son of Robert (Bob) Howley and Jean McEwan. Loved stepson of Dot Henderson. Cherished Father of Angela and Andrew, Glenn, Michael, Brendon, Sam, Tracey, and Marcus, the late Shana, Tamara, and Karl, Eva, Alexis, Dion, Tina, and Logan. Grandfather of Sheldon, Riley, Georgia, Thomas, Tyrone, Maverick, Aubrey, Maximus, Jacob, Tyler, Luther, Destiny, Indi, Charlotte, the late Shakaya, Danzic, Maverick, Mercury, Raven, Amelia, and CJ. MARNANE Colleen Judith:
22 February 1939 -- 14 June 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colleen Judith Marnane (nee Cairns), who left us peacefully on 14 June 2025 surrounded by her family at Dunedin Hospital aged 86 years. Colleen was the deeply loved wife of the late John David Marnane. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of John and Robyn (Cromwell), Chris (Winton), Mark and Lara (Winton), Wayne and Helen (Cromwell) and Brent (Kalgoorlie, Aus.) A much loved grandmother to John, Joanne, Catherine, Thomas, Julie, Gemma, Michael, Alexia, Jack and Ava, along with her four great grandchildren. Mother-In-Law and friend to Rachel. Much loved sister, sister-in-law to Jock* and Moira*, Ted* and Veronica*, Irene and Pat*, Ray*, Dympna and Eric*, Kevin and Denise*, Brian* and Bernadette*, Conal* and Pat*, John* and Marie*, Cath and Joe*, Rex and Anna* and aunty to many. Colleen touched the hearts of many people during her life with her love and generosity. A service to celebrate Colleen's life will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, 21 June 2025 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 7 Digger Street, Nightcaps followed by interment at the Wairio Cemetery . A special thank you to the staff at both Dunstan and Dunedin Hospitals for the care and compassion Colleen received during her time there. Ted passed away on Saturday 14 June 2025 aged 80 years. Best friend of Julie Much loved Dad of Robyn (Tiger), Nev and Wendy, Baz and Paula and a loved Grandad. Ted was a friend to many. A service for Ted will be held at J Fraser & Sons Chapel, corner Esk & Doon Streets, at 1:30pm on Thursday 19 June 2025. Ted's Interment will follow at the Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill. UNAHI, Tani (BIGFOOT) John (née Rickus):
14/09/1964 - 16/06/2025. Son of Maui Tiki Tiki Oteraka Rickus & Kathy Kathleen Walker (née Unahi). Tani passed away peacefully, surrounded by whanau at the Longwood Care Home, Riverton. Tani will travel to Te Rau Aroha Marae, 8 Bradshaw Street, Bluff 9814 New Zealand, 17th of June 2025. The Nehu/Service will be held on Thursday, 19th of June 2025 at 11am at Te Rau Aroha Marae, followed by a private service at the Southland Crematorium. The Hakari/Refreshments at Te Rau Aroha Marae 1.30pm everyone welcome.
