Teenager Named Who Died In Pedestrian Accident Near Gore

Police can now release the name of the pedestrian who died in a collision in Gore yesterday (Wednesday 2 January).

He was 17-year-old Jamie Charles Shearing from Conical Hill.

The collision occurred on Waimea Highway about 12.30am and Police continue to make enquires.

Anyone who may have seen Jamie walking along Waimea Valley Road between 7pm, 1 January and 12.30am, 2 January is urged to call Gore Police on (03) 203 9323.
