Southland Men’s Team

Southland’s Senior Men’s team will get its representative campaign started this weekend, with the South Island Interprovincial Tournament being played at Waitikiri Golf Course in Canterbury.

The team is: Liam Hewitt, Matt Tautari, Tyler McLean, Liam Balneaves, Josh Kalweit, Brad Harper, Jason Osbourne and Doug Carmichael.

She Loves Golf: Quick Six
Queens Park Golf Club is encouraging females to get involved in the She Loves Golf campaign and is holding two events to help them pick up the clubs and get on the course.

Two Quick Six events will be held at the club, on 31 October and 7 November, from 5.30pm each night; offering females the chance to have a go at golf in a fun, friendly environment – with all equipment supplied.

Eagles U17 Tournament Success
Southland’s Connor Fowle has won the Boys 54 Hole Stableford, at the Eagles New Zealand U17 tournament at Te Awamutu Golf Club last week.

Golf in the Park

The Queens Park Liqourland Golf in the Park tournament was held over the weekend with 152 in the field.

The tournament was won by Rhuebyn Prattley, Mitchell Porima, Brian Maniapoto and Michael Ropitini from Mataura with a score of 242, runners up were Kate McGregor, Dayna Kaio, Raylene Leith-Forbes and Bruce Sangster (Queens Park) with 232 and third place went to Julie Fleury, Val Wallace, Lyn Lindsay and Colin Dixon (Queens Park) with 228.
