Mal’s Music Memory – The Sounds of Summer Waitangi Day Special

Hey there team, a double banger special seeing it’s Waitangi Day and all compliments of Hayden and Toni at Little Fire Music Works, the only music shop on Dee Street.

First clip is one we all know, Hello Sailor’s Blue Lady.

The second is a true blue blast from the past. The Maori Quin Tiki’s, one of the great Kiwi show bands of the 60’s. Many top entertainers like Eddie Lowe, the late Billy T James, Prince Tui Teka to name just a few cut their teeth on the show band circuit both here and overseas.

Pity we don’t have show bands like the Quin Tiki’s anymore.

Anyways, enjoy Blue lady and Guitar Boogie and Waitangi Day
