Of Otautau, passed suddenly on Saturday 13 May 2023, aged 66. Dearly loved husband of Judy. Adored and respected father and best mate, and father-in-law of Bobby and AJ. Dearly missed Grandad of Jayda and Frankie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Erlene and Neil, Violet and Stephen, Chris, Keith and Delwyn, and Mana; Sally and Gary, Colin, Roger and Wilma, Colleen and Tony. McRAE, Jock (John Robert):
After a strong fought battle Jock passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 11th May 2023 aged 61 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Julien. Much loved and devoted Dad to Josh and Brittany and Brad and Taylor. Loved son of the late Ian and Shelagh. Loved and treasured Farm Grandad of Theo. Loved Brother and Brother-in-law of Steve and Deb, David and Karen and Helen and Derek Watson. Loved Son-in-law of Jim and Noeline Evans and much loved Brother-in-law of David and Leanne Evans and Paul and Kim Evans. Dearly loved by his nieces and nephews. MILLER, Janet Isobel (Dodd):
Unexpectedly on May 13, 2023, at Dunedin Hospital, in her 86th year. Dearly loved wife of Peter, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jocelyn and Gary, Roger and Donna-Lee, Alison and Gordon, Virginia (Ginny) and Mike. Dearly loved Nana Janet of Karen, Gill and Zeke; Corey, Holly and Jonty; Cameron and Lucy, Karla and Ben, Ashley and Siobhan; Gemma and Hayden, Hannah and Duncan, Analise and Mike. Dearly loved Great-Nana of Leelah, Eliza, and Freddy. A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Friday, May 19, at 1.30pm, in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, followed by a private cremation. NELSON, Mervyn James:
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mervyn James Nelson (“Merv”) on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Beloved husband to Tijani; cherished father and father-in-law to Anthony and Casey, Christie, and Clayton, and doting grandfather to Cyrah, Milán, Simone, Evelyn, and Lewis. Merv’s memory lives on through his loved ones. Merv was a brother and brother-in-law to Sheryl, and the late Bronwyn and John Evans. Merv will also be dearly missed by Joanna, Hemi, Ana and Fernalynn. In accordance with Merv’s wishes, a private family service has been held. Dearly loved mother and mother in-law of Evelyn Paterson, David and Elizabeth Smith, Jennifer and Darryl Branthwaite, Pamela Graham, Raewyn and Neil Miller, Peter and Lisa Smith. Treasured Nana of Jonathan and Carlene, Timothy, Stuart and Jess; Anna and Tim, Emily and Felix, Laura and Alex, Katrina and Liam, and Charlotte; Mathew and Gabby, Daniel and Miranda; Claire and Zac; Jessica, Mark and the late Rebekah; Simon and Zoe, and loved Great-Grandmother of Kayleigh; Joshua and Micah; Benjamin and Lucas.
