It is with great sadness that the family announce the unexpected passing of Philip on Monday, May 27, 2019, at Southland Hospital; Aged 75 years. Adored, loving husband and best friend of Coralie. Loved and respected Dad of Marie and Adrian, Garreth and Sarah. Much loved brother-in-law of Stewart and Karen Bell and loved by his extended family and friends. A private cremation has been held. Peacefully at home after a short illness and with his loving family by his side, on Monday, May 27, 2019, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Cheryl, and very much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Katrina and Graeme Shearing, Keri and Neill Horrell, Janaya and Grant Price, and Karaan and Helena. SMITH, Reverend Ivan Alfred.
At Invercargill after a prolonged, valiant battle, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, aged 79 years. Treasured husband of the late Patricia Veltkamp-Smith. Dearly loved father and stepfather to Chrystal Jaye (Dunedin), Phil and Rose Smith (Hokitika), Robyn and John Marnane (Cromwell), Joseph Veltkamp and Nicky Wilson (Blenheim). Loved and respected grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle to many. Eldest brother of Michael, Roland*, Desmond*, Alastair, Roy, David, Mavis, Karen and Toni Smith.
