Peacefully at Hospice Southland, on Sunday, September 11, 2022, aged 78 years. Very much loved husband of the late Linda, loved Dad and father-in-law of Robert and Raewyn (Wyndham), Margaret and Phillip (Mataura), Marie and Ajay (Balfour), Richard and Lisa (Mataura), and doting Grandad and Pops of 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Ernie’s life will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Friday, September 16 at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Charlton Park Cemetery. RIDDELL, Jan Marie QSM (née Budge):
At home on Saturday 10 September 2022 aged 67, after a prolonged and stoic battle with cancer. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Dave and dearly loved mum of Emma. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Carolyn and Otto Schmid and Sally and Lance Hammond. Loved aunt of André and Louise, Anna, Nicole, Ben and Brooke, great aunt of Maelie and loved friend to many. In accordance with Jan’s wishes a private cremation will be held. Special thanks to the district nurses who looked after Jan so well.

Loved wife of John (Snow) of 69 years, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Ronnie (Australia), Leigh and Linley (Riverton), and Stephen (Australia), loved Grandma of Rebecca, Megan; Jordan, Mitchell, and Lachlan and great-Grandma of Harriet, Charlie, and William.
