Suddenly at home, Mataura, on Sunday, July 11, 2021, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Key, much loved father and father-in-law of Paul and Lynley, Maree and Mark, David and Margaret, a loved Grandad of Sarah and Callum, Jay and Kezia, Shane, and Ryan, and much loved great-Grandad of Fletcher, Aubree, and Nikau. A service for Stanley will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Thursday, July 15, at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Mataura Cemetery. Another would pop out.
Away you’d go on the Vicky Jane,
Weeks at a time,
We would wait patiently at the window,
To watch you come over the bar and home.
Our days in the sunny Bay of Islands,
When we were young,
Full of lots of family time,
So much fun.
Your midnight fry ups were always touch and go,
But luckily we’re still standing,
And our childhood home.
The Lodge and RSA a second home to you,
You loved to yarn with friends,
And have a beer or two…
