LAMB, Elizabeth Stella (Betty). Peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Charlie. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Andrew and Adrienne, Joanne and Martyn. Loved grandmother of Lena and Liam, Nic and Lisa, Andre and Alexandra Naia. Loved great-grandmother of Naia. A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held in the Lindisfarne Community Church, on Monday, April 1, 2019, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation. McALISTER, John Francis. Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Wednesday, March 27, 2019; in his 84th year. Dearly loved husband of Sandra for 57 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Sharon and Barry Pannett; Barry and Belinda; and the late Jeffery. Loved Gannie of Daniel, Michael, Jaime; Jeremy, Troy, Brittany, and their partners. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Otautau, on Friday, March 29, at 1.00pm, followed by a private interment at the Otautau Cemetery. R.I.P. SPOONER, Maxwell George (Max). Peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill. Dearly loved husband of the late Denise. Dearly loved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral to be held in Te Anau, details to follow.

Charles Frederick (Charlie). Formerly from Bluff and Invercargill. Passed away at Thornbury House, peacefully in his sleep, in his 89th year. Loved husband of Janice (nee Webber). Loved father of Wanda, Paul, Glenn, Craig, Darrin, Darnell, and Penny, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Service for Charles will be held at the Andersons Bay Crematorium Chapel, Tomahawk Road, on Friday, March 29, at 1.00pm. Messages to 11 Beaconsfield Road, Portobello, Dunedin.

TOWNSEND, Kathleen Georgina (Kathey). Peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, surrounded by her whanau, aged 74. Much loved wife of the late Harry. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Traecy, Donna*, Joleen and Nathan, Lynley and Danny. A much loved Nan to Zion, Seth, Daria, and Faith, and great-Nan to Zahalia. Kathey is lying in state at 141 John St, Heidelberg, Invercargill, for those wishing to pay their respects. A service to celebrate Kathey’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel at 10.30am on Friday, March 29, followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
