BELL, Charles Albert (Bert):
At long last Catherine, Dawn and David Kennedy, Ken and Paula, and Ross and Robyna and their family’s wish to invite family and friends to attend a memorial service to celebrate Bert’s life which will be held in the Avenal Park Funeral Home Chapel, 75 Fox St, Invercargill. On Saturday, 4 July at 1.30pm.

DOWLING, Gavin Patrick:
11.03.1986 – 26.03.2020
Our beloved Gavin’s Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the Awatere Memorial Hall in Seddon, at 1.00pm, followed by refreshments directly after. In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation box for the Starship Foundation. The Dowling family would like to thank those who have given kindness, food, time and monetary support to Rosie, Harry, Digby and Olive. It has been so humbling to know that Gavin touched so many through his packed but short life.

DUNSTAN, Walter James:
Passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020, aged 86 years, at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by his children. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean, cherished dad to Jeanette and Bill, Stuart, Geoffrey and Leanne, and Laura and James. Treasured grandad to Mathew and Bridgette, Erin and Evie Bea, much loved great-grandad to Seth, Jack and Sadie. Dearest younger brother to Elizabeth and the late Craig (Dunedin) and older brother to Bob (Edendale).
A chapter completed, a page is turned,
A life well lived, a rest well earned.

HENDERSON, Raymond Alan (Ray):
Peacefully at home on Thursday 25 June 2020. Dearly loved husband of Mary, loved father and father-in-law of George and Tash, Paul, and Irene, loved Grandad of Tyler, Teryn, and Orielle, a loved brother and uncle. In accordance with Ray’s wishes a private cremation has been held. Messages to 90/8 Conon Street Invercargill.

HORTON, Denis Allan:
A Memorial Service will be held for Denis at the Corinthian Centre, Invercargill Workingmen’s Club, 154 Esk St, Invercargill, on Saturday, July 4, at 2.30pm. Friends and family are welcome to join with us in celebrating his life and share stories.

MOONEY, Robert James:
18 August 1966 – 24 June 2020
Passed away peacefully, aged 53, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, after a short battle with neuroendocrine cancer, at Southland Hospice, surrounded by loved ones. Adored and loved husband of Deborah. Beloved son of Jim and Barbara Mooney*, and much loved son-in-law of Doug* and Yvonne Reid. Dearly loved and cherished brother and brother-in-law of Anne-Marie and Quinton Erskine, Phillip Mooney*, Debbie Pou and Geordie Randall, Mania Pou*, Sheree and Ian Jones, and Angela Harris. Loved and adored uncle of Jesse-Lee*, Shaun, Jeyden, Kashan*, Shavhan, Jaz, Jordan, Danekwa, Karl, Aliyah, Courtney, Nicholas, and Lucas. Great-Uncle to Jaykub, Aria, William, Maverick and Matilda. MORRIS, Susan Jane (nee Devine):
27.06.1951- 24.06.2020
Sue passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, after a long journey, at Bethesda Hospice, Perth, Australia. Nature’s way of taking and giving back, as Sue nursed for a number of years at Bethesda. She was surrounded by her loving husband Wayne, Stephen and Charlotte, Adam and Ella. Loved youngest daughter of the late Alfred (Andy) and Cecilia Devine. Little sister to Diane and Richard Andersen (South Carolina), Gail and the late Les Mason (Melbourne), and Wade and Judi (Invercargill).
Sue will be sadly missed but never forgotten ……

Anita, Louise, Steve and Raymond would like to thank family and friends for their love and support following the loss of a dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and brother. Thank you for the floral tributes cards, emails, messages, food and baking. To everyone who attended the funeral or watched through livestream your presence was very much appreciated. To our celebrant Lynley McKerrow and Hamish from J Fraser and Sons, thank you for your care and support and making Doug’s service special. Also pipers Alasdair Mackenzie and Ann Robbie for their beautiful musical tributes at the service and graveside. A special thank you to Dr Talwar for his care and support during Doug’s illness and we would also like to acknowledge Dr Patton. Thank you to Mary at Hospice Southland for your phone calls during level 4. Please accept this as our heartfelt thanks to you all for your support.

HAYES, Patricia (Pat):
Eric, along with the family, would like to sincerely thank everyone for their love and support shown to us all during our recent loss of Patricia. Thank you for all the flowers, messages and phone calls, meals and baking. Your overwhelming kindness and sympathy during this very difficult time was deeply appreciated. Grateful thanks also to the St John Ambulance staff and the nursing staff at Kew Hospital who took such wonderful care of Patricia during her final few hours. We greatly appreciated the effort many of you made to join us for Patricia’s funeral via the livestream, which was sadly the only option available to us at the time due to the Covid situation. Patricia is sadly missed by us all, but will live on in the hearts of each and everyone of us whose lives she touched. Please accept this as our personal and most sincere thanks to everyone who has, and continues to, support us during this difficult time.

Pauline’s family would like to thank all relatives and friends for their heartfelt comfort, support and acknowledgements during our sad time. A special thank you to all the team at Bupa Wakatipu for their exceptional care and comforting they have given our mum over the last 2.5 years, they have been truly a blessing to our family.
