After a short and courageous battle with cancer, at Ranui Rest Home, Alexandra, aged 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Richard, much loved mother of Campbell and Hilary, loved and respected mother-in-law of Karen, much loved and respected Grandma of Wade and Hayley, Trent and Sophie, and Great-Grandma of the late Stella Wren. A service to celebrate Valmai’s life will be held at The Orchard Garden, 576 Dunstan Road, Alexandra, on Saturday, May 8, at 11.00am, then leaving for Alexandra Cemetery. In accordance with Valmai’s love of lime green it would be appreciated if you could wear something green. A very sincere thank you to Leigh and the team at Ranui for their amazing care of Valmai. Passed away peacefully at Invercargill, on Friday 30 April 2021, age 96 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Ian. After a courageous battle with COPD on Wednesday 28 April 2021, at Ascot Care Home and with family by her side. McDONALD Ken Francis:
After months of support from family and friends, Ken passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Hospice Southland on Wednesday 28th April 2021, aged 63 years. Loved son of the late Angus and Jean.
Dearly loved father and father in law of Anna and Josh Campbell, and James. Loved brother and brother in law of Ian* and Yvonne, Barry and Anne (Hastings), Jeanette and David Dickson (Gold Coast). Loved Uncle and Great Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Family wish to sincerely thank many carers from Healthcare NZ and Hospice Southland for their devoted care of Ken. Ken was an instrumental member of staff at SIT for 32 years. A farewell for Ken will be held on Monday 3rd May, 1pm at the Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill. A private cremation will follow. Passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland on Sunday 25th April 2021, in her 89 th year. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Pauline, Desley and Gratten* Layne, Luana and Bruce Molloy, John*, Sharalyn and Sid Cumming, and Peter, much loved Nana Rodan of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we advise Pat passed away at Southland Hospital Rehabilitation Ward on Thursday 22 April 2021. Aged 82 years.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lake Wakatipu Care Home, and those at Southland Hospital who cared for Brian this year.
