Aged 42 years. Formerly of Riversdale. Most unexpected. Loving son of Dave (Riversdale) and Rodney (Timaru), adored brother of Karen and Lynne (both of Timaru).

Olive passed away peacefully in her 93rd year at Calvary Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Pam, Annette and Christopher Poulsom (England), Peter and Julie, and Marg Rodwell (England). Loved Nan of Johanna and Nat, Rose, George and Georgia, the late William, Oliver, Kim and Tom, and Sam. Loved Great-Nan of Taylah, Zac, and Mikaela; Bailey, and Hunter. A service to celebrate Olive’s life will be held at 11.00am, on Friday, January 8, 2021, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Winton, followed by Interment at the East Winton Cemetery. A service to celebrate Jim and Kareen’s life together will be held in the Ascot Park Hotel, cnr of Tay Street and Racecourse Road Invercargill, on Tuesday 5 January at 1.00pm, a private cremation will follow. Messages to 78c Black Road Otatara.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Parata Rest Home, Gore, in her 100th year. Loved wife of the late Keith Martyn. Loved mum and mother-in-law of Athol and Margaret (Gore), Glennis and Adrian Nesbitt (Otatara), Jeffery and Gaye (Timaru). Loved Ma of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service will be held in the St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Ardwick Street, Gore, on Tuesday, January 5, at 11.00am. Passed peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021 after a short illness, aged 84 years. Loved wife of the late Andrew Forrest McLeod. Eldest daughter of the late Margaret and Thomas Cook (Wyndham). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and James Wesney (Invercargill), Wendy (Mataura), Christina (Jock) and George Gaudion (Gore), Jan Hay (Christchurch). Loved nan of Samantha, Paulette, the late Edwin, Ada, Emma, the late Andrew, Justine, Mary, Philip, and Gemma. Loved great nan of Chelsea, Adam, Bailey, Quinn, Hazel, Tasman, and Luca. Loved sister of Shirley (Christchurch), Sylvia (Australia), the late Lex Cook. And loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews. A service for Valda will be held in the Gore Town and Country Club Stadium, Bury Street, on Saturday, January 9, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. On January 3, 2021 peacefully at Holmdene Rest Home, Balclutha, surrounded by her loving family and in the dedicated care of the Holmdene staff; aged 92 years. Loved wife of the late Alan, a much-loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Liz and Bryce Johnston, Garth and Chris, Pam Shaw and Mike Kearney (Nelson), David and Robyn, the late Stephen, a treasured Gran of her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and a dearly loved sister of Betty Malcolm (Auckland), the late Dorothy Dickie, and the late Alfred Broad. Aged 58. Passed away peacefully at Hospice Southland surrounded by family after a long illness on Sunday 3 January 2021. Partner of Denise. Father of Annie, Stephanie and Thomas; stepfather of Michelle, Lisa, Richard, and Sarah. Grandfather of all his grandchildren. Cherished son of the late Archie and Edith. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Archie, Trudi, the late TC, Roundy and Wendy, Bruce and Irene; and uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Best friend of Wayne. Special thanks to the caring staff of Southland Hospital and Hospice Southland. A service for Flash will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Thursday 7 January at 2pm followed by committal at Eastern Cemetery. Sadly passed away, after a long illness, at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, aged 88 years. Beloved husband of Shirley Mac, and the late Shirley (nee Matheson), loved father and father-in-law of Sheryl and Steve Wallis, Heather and Pete McKenzie, and loving Grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service for Ron will be held in Central Otago Funeral Chapel, 16 Ennis Street, Alexandra, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 11.00am, then leaving for Charlton Park Cemetery, Gore (arriving approx. 3.30pm). Ron’s family wish to thank the staff at Castlewood Home in Alexandra, Hospice and Dunstan Hospital for their care and dedication to Ron.
