BEVIN, Michael Bryan (Mike). He fought his last fight on Thursday, 19th March 2020 in the care of Hospice Southland, aged 47 years. Dearly loved son of Lyn, and Bryan and brother of David and Lesley, and Vick and Paul Hayes (Otatara). Loved father of Oscar Ray Bevin and uncle of Maddie, George, and Finn. Loved nephew of the Moseley family and great mate and friend of Lester, Mark, Zane, and Robyn.

Passed peacefully at Lower Hutt Hospital on March 17th, at the age of 89. Wife of James. Loved mother of Margaret, Steven, Richard, Brian, Terence, Jill and Helen. Mother-in-law of Leanne. Brenda, Alistair, Judy, Sally, Irene, their partners and all our family, sincerely thank all those who provided love and support to Shona, and ourselves, especially the Clare House carers over the past 2.5 years. We are very grateful for the visits, flowers, cards and messages of comfort we each received on her passing. Thank you so much to all who attended the celebration of Shona’s life, and shared your memories of our loving and deeply caring Mum. Special thanks to Ngaire for taking the service, the St David’s people for set-up, flowers and music and also Sandy and the MacDonald and Weston team for their valued care and assistance.
Our loss is immeasurable, but so is the love she left behind.

Our heartfelt thanks to those who sent personal messages of sympathy, cards, flowers, food and phone calls. Thank you to all those who called at our homes and attended the service for Gwen. Thank you to all who gave a donation to The Blind Foundation, all very much appreciated. A big thank you must go to Rachael Crothers of J Fraser & Sons for the professional and compassionate care taken when arranging Gwen’s farewell, as well as the celebrant Lynley McKerrow who gave a fitting celebration of Gwen’s life.
