154 Esk Street,
Southern Rumble Night 1 will feature the 20 man ‘Southern Rumble’ match, the winner, getting an opportunity at the SPW New Zealand Championship the very next night!
We are celebrating 5 years to the day ‘Wrestling on the Edge of the World’ debuted, and we are going to celebrate with 2 huge events over one weekend!
New Zealand has defeated COVID-19 with 0 active cases, we are now at Level 1 with no restrictions and we at SPW are ready to entertain our audiences once again!
We are so lucky and fortunate to have a team of 5 million ‘layin the smackdown’ on COVID-19. Whilst the rest of the world continues to fight the virus, we are able to fight with each other over an action packed weekend that we have never done before!
We will run 2 live events back to back on Friday 7th August and Saturday 8th August. We will have a Southern Rumble winner and they will get their opportunity to become SPW New Zealand Champion the very next night!
The two night weekend will be a celebration of 5 years since SPW ran it’s first Live Pro Wrestling event in Invercargill on Sat 8th August 2015.
Since then, we have aired and continue to show events through TVNZ DUKE, have put on 2 history making, record breaking events at ILT Stadium Southland and featured some of the very best talented professional wrestlers from around the world including WWE’s Travis Banks!
We are thrilled to be able to put on a professional wrestling event in front of a live crowd again, and no doubt anticipate this weekend to be another huge success from our extremely passionate supporters that have got us this far.
More information, announcements and all the hype will be available via our social media channels and spwrestling.co.nz.
Thank you for your support, and we cannot wait to host you over this milestone weekend.
